About Zen Convert.

Most file converters online are exhausting. Pop-ups everywhere, queues that artificially slow down for free users, "premium" upsells, watermarks on the output, sign-up walls before you've even tried the tool, ads that look like buttons. The simple thing you want — convert this file, please — is buried under noise.

Zen Convert is the opposite. Drop a file. Pick what you want it converted to. Get the result. That's it. No accounts, no ads, no watermarks, no premium plans. Just the conversion, kept quiet.

How is this free?

We run on modest infrastructure (two small AWS servers, an open-source conversion engine called ffmpeg), and the conversions themselves are cheap to perform. We're not trying to be a unicorn — we're trying to be useful. If we ever introduce a paid tier (for huge files, batch processing, or API access), the existing free tools stay free.

What we won't do

What's next

We're working on : conversion history for signed-in users, more formats (HEIC, PDF, RAW), and a small API for developers. None of these will compromise the core promise — a free, anonymous converter at the URL you typed in.
